Having spent 15 years in Dubai, it was among Nakul Gopal’s long-standing goals to gain full ownership of his home, save money for his children’s education and donate to charity. Last week, his goals were realised as 41-year-old Gopal became the proud winner of AED 1 million in Dubai Bank's millionaire cash prize draw.
Gopal intends to use this new fortune towards repaying his outstanding mortgage loan, and also plans to use the auspicious month of Ramadan to make a meaningful donation for charitable purposes.
"Having lived in this emirate for well over a decade, I thought I had seen and experienced everything, but I never thought that my savings with Dubai Bank would reward me so richly," said Gopal. "I have been banking with Dubai Bank since 2002, and I have been thoroughly satisfied with the service experience. Today, owing to the bank’s Kunooz savings scheme, I can finally attain full ownership of my home in Dubai, while saving for my children’s future education. At a time when there is so much financial uncertainty worldwide, this prize money is truly a blessing for my whole family.”
Gopal works as a Deputy General Manager with a Dubai-based private sector firm and is married with two children.

For every multiple of AED 5,000 deposited, account holders become eligible for entry into the monthly grand prize draw of AED 1 million. The programme also offers participants the possibility to win more than once.
